State of the Celtics: Green speaks about return
|
|
Green will have a tough time getting back into game shape, but he knows it.
"Getting in a groove, getting in a rhythm -- but it’ll come. We still have two months until the beginning of the regular season. That stuff will come. I’ve really been able to do everything -- contact, my movements, my shot is there, my lift is there. Everything is coming along."
Thankfully we have preseason games. Green will have time than to get everything right. Unfortunately Green will need to produce when the season starts. More than being in game shape. Green needs to be assertive.
"Just probably being more assertive, more aggressive in certain situations. That’s about it. My game pretty much speaks for itself -- a guy who can play multiple positions… attack in different situations. My game is what it is; I just have to improve on different things. Just show it out there on the court."
His game is what it is, but we need more from him, We need him assertive with Rajon Rondo.
"You got Rondo running the point, who doesn’t want to play with Rondo? The guy can pass the ball very very well, to the best of them in this league. Who doesn’t want to run up and down the court?"
Who doesn't want to play with Rondo is the right answer Green. Jeff needs to follow Rondo around expecting greatness.
