Rondo at summer league game
| Posted on July 22, 2012 at 3:00 AM |

It's great that Rondo is watching his young teammates. I think it's a small step, in how Rondo is the team leader. Showing up to a summer league means so much for his young teammates. How many stars show up to summer league games? Not many, but Rondo can get a feel for his young teammates , and to see what they look like.
Celtics guard Rajon Rondo joined the team Saturday night, sitting behind the bench as an observer for an NBA Summer League game against Milwaukee.
The Celtics had a 6-2 Summer League record before the game.

It's like he's being incorporated into a quasi-coaching role. KG is getting this too, openly being acknowledged as someone who will teach the new bigs. These two guys, along with Pierce, and hopefully Dooling, but especially KG and Rondo, seem to be strongly embracing team leadership, and the team brass seem to be embracing this too.

He really is a quasi-coach.
Christmas seems to be really excited about working with Rondo!!
And the summer league coach said Rondo was really a coach during the game!!

I especially liked the comments from Christmas about how much he learned in just 5 minutes.

I liked that too.
Man I really want Christmas early this year! This kid is going to OWN people with Rondo as his mentor.
