Terry a C's fan

Terry will be known as the Ray replacement, but I think he'll be a better fit than Ray at this point. Terry is comfortable with his role off the bench, and he was the 6th man of the year in 2009 to show good he was at his role. Terry gives the Celtics so much more than Ray for another reason. Terry can create his own offense, and he can shoot the three as well. Like we have discussed, Ray was wasting the offense when Doc would call a play for Ray. The time to set up a play for Ray took off 10-15 seconds off of the shot clock at times, and Rondo picked up the blame, for dribbling the ball too much. But a lot of it was because he was setting up Ray.
Terry will come in, and will all love his passion, and desire to win, and will love his personality. Terry will also fall in love with the Celtics. He's already fan of the greatest franchise.
“I’m still smiling,” said Terry, who said he is a Patriots fan because childhood friends Corey Dillon and Lawyer Milloy played for New England. “I was smiling when I answered the phone and heard it was [Rivers]. And then Danny [Ainge] called me a couple of days later and I was just grinning ear to ear, just because of the heritage, the history, and the tradition of the Boston Celtics, just being in that arena in front of these fans, it’s just a great opportunity.
“A lot of time in professional sports, you really don’t get to choose what team you’d like to play for, but me being a big fan of the Celtics from Larry [Bird] back in the day, it’s just going to be an honor to wear that uniform.”
The expectations are high for Terry, but his expectations are also high. With Terry coming in, it helps us forget about Ray, and we also have a player who wants to be here, and who knows how to win basketball games. He believes in this team, and that's all you can ask for really.
“I’m excited about competing for a championship and doing it with this group of guys,” Terry said by phone Friday. “KG [Kevin Garnett], [Rajon] Rondo, Paul Pierce, coach Doc Rivers. These guys are obviously Hall of Famers and they have one thing on their mind, and that’s winning. And that’s what I’m all about and I can’t wait to get that jersey on and get out there in front of the great Boston Celtic fans and perform at a high level."
Terry, and KG had also exchanged text messages. Damn, people love texting KG. What Terry means to this team is unknown right now. I think it's safe to say he'll impact the Celtics. I think he'll finish games with this team. Terry will have some great moments in Boston. I think he's the bench player we need, who could start. Welcome to Boston "Jet"! I also believe he hates the Heat just like us. He killed them in the finals, and I hope he does the same in this years playoffs.
