Celtics Title Town

Pent up desires do not fizzle with age. Sometimes they eat, and eat, and they become stronger. Losing can eat at you, and those sleepless nights become a close friend. When talking about Kevin Garnett, so much has been written, so much has been said. In the here, and now KG is older, and his desire to win another NBA championship has reached a peak. One word can descrive KG, and that word is loyal. It took Ray Allen , to pry KG from the Minnesota Timberwolves. KG wasn't willing to leave Minnesota, but the Celtics wouldn't give up, and they wanted to add a player that would fit fright in with Pierce, and if they brought in Kevin. Ray Allen was the three-point sharp shooter, and one of the best scores in the NBA, he was coming off his highest points per game average of 26 a game.

Becoming extinct in life is loyalty. It works with both ways, you must give it,  if you expect it in return. Doc had called Ray telling him he was traded. The deal fell through, and Ray remained a Celtic. Crumpling to the ground with lost dignity was Danny Ainge. He seemed willing to make it up with Ray, and give him everything on his new contract. A no trade clause, and of course more money, but Ray was done by game seven. After watching that game again, and watching Ray walk over to his new team. It was telling at that moment.

 The Celtics were loosing the shimmer of their novelty with Ray. Dying slowly in  the hands of reality is loyalty. Heralding sincerity is KG.  His  authenticity consumes us. We watch him give his body, and  we watch his body give into age at times. But something about KG keeps us glued to the TV, and he keeps us guessing on what catch phrase will come next. Who doesn't love "Bar Fight". Since day one KG has seemed more of a Celtic than Ray to be honest. KG helped this franchise find who they were once again. Celtic pride was buried for so many years, but when KG put on number five, it was all over. He was a team first superstar, and it helped Pierce, and Ray buy in.

KG would die for his teammates. He would stand by his teammates  side. KG would take a shot to the chest and still try to fight for his teammates. He wouldn't  let anyone mess with his team  because they  mean that much to him. Loyalty is the emotional glue that bonds people together. And that's why the Celtics will be better off without Ray. If he didn't want to be here, than okay. Ray lost his way awhile ago, and maybe loyalty goes both ways. But Ray  was given an opportunity to end his career with a team that did love him regardless of their problems. Thankfully, we have our Big three, who want to be here, and who want to beat the Heat more than ever.
