Allen Speed Dating the Rest of the League

Reportedly Allen is going to visit the Heat and the Clips this week. I think Celtics fans need to recognize that Allen wouldn't be bending over backwards to give other teams every chance to woo him away from the Celtics if he didn't WANT to be wooed away.
I'm actually fairly eager to see what Moore can do. It doesn't make sense for us, as fans, or for the Celtics as a team, to obsess over trying to hold onto someone who doesn't seem to want to be here anymore. I wish Ray well, but I'm also looking forward to defeating him in the future.

Love the title of your post! I AGREE. I would love Ray Allen back, but at what cost. He's making the Celtics pay him more. He knows the Heat can afford only 3 million, and the Clippers around the same. The Celtics can him the sky for the most part, and he's taking advantage of that!

Allen shouldn't comeback, I'm done with him. KG didn't even test the waters. Get over Rondo Ray, he wanted what was best for the team!

Thanks - I thought it was funny! Secretly, Franklin, I hope Ray is just making Ainge sweat. I really would not blame him for that.
C'slife, it disappoints me a lot to hear that Allen supposedly hates Rondo. He surely HAS to know that being a sixth man on the Celtics is a big, big deal. It's not a dishonor. It's a major status. He was being asked to step into a role we badly needed.

It's a big honor. Bill Walton didn't make a big deal about it.

It's a good thing for Allen, he should look at it this way. Play for the 6th man of the year award.

Walton loved it!! He was DEVASTATING coming off the bench. He may have been the best sixth man ever. Man, I remember Vinnie Johnson so well. He was such a killer coming off the bench.

I am struggling to understand why Allen doesn't see this. It's not some secret that sixth man is a big deal, especially for the Celtics.
