It seems like Doug Collins the coach, and not the color analyst, wants to force KG into shooting jumpers. Isn't he already shooting J's?
“He’s making those jump shots, come on now,” Collins said. “The guy has one foot on the 3-point line shooting jump shots. My hat’s off.”
The focus for 76ers center Spencer Hawes, who guarded Garnett for most of Game 1, is limiting the easy rhythm jumpers.
“I think that was where he got rolling (Saturday), just being able to really look at them and step into them,” Hawes said. “Obviously he’s a great player and a great shooter, but you have to try to make it a little bit harder with those wide-open looks.”
Nobody can stop KG from getting his pet shot. Rondo is too good not to get KG the ball in his spots. KG just needs to hit them. I feel like KG will benefit from not practicing on Sunday. If Hawes tries to over play KG. Kevin will just take him to the hole. Like I said, limiting the easy rhythm jumpers is just not happening.
Their is no way in hell that Hawes stops KG, maybe if KG was tied down, or if he had some stadium food before the game.
