Garnett a dirty player? Yeah right!

Posted by shawn cassidy on May 10, 2012 at 1:00 AM

Profanities, obscenities, with insanity beckoning. I'm trying to conceive some shattered form of reality. Why is KG a dirty player? It makes no sense to me.Does is make sense for you? Does KG use profanity on the floor, of course he does. Has he said some off the wall things to opposing teams, and players? Of course, do you remember last years cancer patient remark? The Atalanta Hawks owner had this to say about the Celtics, and Garnett.

“We don’t get any calls, which I know everybody always hears. But I’ll give you a stat. Last night, we are playing this old physical team. They are old. I know what happens when you play basketball, old guys foul. [Kevin] Garnett is the dirtiest guy in the league. We are playing Boston last night and they had two fouls the whole first half. We had five times that and we’re athletic.”

When I think of dirty players. I think of Tyson Chandler,Andrew Bynum,  and Dwayne Wade.  Garnett talks a lot, and he's very aggressive. When did playing over aggressive become a crime? Especially in the playoffs. Garnett folks isn't dirty. He's just different.

They are just upset that he gets under their skin and beats them. Any GM would be a liar if they said they would not snatch him up if they got the opportunity.

KG isn't taking guys out, hes not ending careers, or even seasons. KG is just intense. They need to deal with it.

The owner is talking bullshit, and the only reason he gets away with it is the power of group think. Everyone is saying it, so it must be true. Garnett is a nasty player, a VERY nasty player. He is not a dirty player as far as I can see. Who has he hurt? So far as I know, no one.

Nasty. Not dirty. Big difference.

Hell, I don't admire the nastiness in Garnett's game, but I get it that it's how he makes up for not being big in girth. He gives people elbows, shoves, pokes and nasty comments whenever he can. But he doesn't hurt people.
