The 4th quarter was full of drama. Al Jefferson wasn't enjoying KG's intense behavior. Both players were hit with a double Tech in the 4th quarter. The Celtics started the game cold from the field. But Rondo scored the first two baskets for the Celtics, and it seemed like it was a Rondo scoring fest tonight. But Rondo took another road, and he started to find his teammates. Tonight was an odd night. The Celtics didn't really have one player dominate tonight. It seemed like one player would dominate for a few minutes but not for the entire game. Rondo, and KG had wonderful games though. Rondo ended the game with 14 assists, and 6 points. KG had a solid 23 point, 10 board game.
Pierce had an okay game. He ended the game with 20 points, and he was a strong 7/7 from the chairty stripe. Tonight I saw some fine things from Dooling for the first time all season. Dooling had 7 points, and 3 assists. That's the kind of line we need from Dooling. He was also all over the floor going for loose balls. Maybe he was inspired by Cowens tonight.
The Celtcs built an 18 point lead, but they lost that lead mid-way through the third, and the Jazz tied it up 66-66. The Celtics would go on runs, and the Jazz would go on a mini run, but in the end the Celtics put them away behind Rondo's clutch assists in the final minutes. The Celtics lost the glass 49-38. Bass didn't have one rebound in the first half, not a good thing. Bass is scoring for us(19 points for the game), but if he can focus on some boards than we're sitting pretty. Good win for the Celtics. Next week is truly the biggest week of the regular season. The Celtics will play three of the best four teams in the league record wise.
