Rondo walks alone

Don't make Rondo  walk alone on the glossy court because he might be  afraid of the backlash. Rondo can't make it to the end without your help. He will need Pierce helping him on offense, and KG barking orders, and controlling the defense.Rondo, and Pierce need to build a friendship If they have not already.

A true friendship is a rare find, lasting a life-time, and winning a championship with each other goes a long way.Friendship is supportive, and as teammates Pierce, and Rondo should be talking through everything, and I don't see it. Friendships must grow but is difficult to keep. A friendship affords joy, solace and distraction, and a Friendship gives a better meaning to life. The basis of good friendship is selfless, dedicated love of a special kind.

Rondo, and Perkins became even better friends during the 2007-08 season because the big three grew very close to each other. Rondo, and Perk had to face many issues about critics doubting them, and they both answered the call for the Celtics in 2008.

What I want from Pierce is simple. Pierce has changed his game before, and with Rondo it should be a piece of cake. Rondo will only add years  to Paul's career. If both players get it, and undersand they need each other the Celtics should have no problem going  for a title. But the Celtics are nowhere near the top teams right now because Pierce, and Rondo haven't figured each other out, and until that happens the Celtics will suffer, and so will the fans.

I think there is a dimension to this that has to be considered. It seems obvious that Paul and Rondo would work things out, all things being equal. Both guys put team first. Both guys want to win a championship. They have important mutual friends and they've found ways to work things out in the past. Most importantly, anyone can see the potential for synergistic magic.

But think about the context. Both those guys have a "for sale" sign hanging over their heads. For people to work out complicated relationship issues on a team, they have to have a reasonable expectation that they are both going to be around for a while. Here we have a situation where the ship is foundering and the captain is making people walk the plank. It's not an optimal situation for working things out.

How would you feel if you were Paul Pierce, and you saw Danny coming at you with a cutlass, and you and Rondo are standing at the end of a plank? Would you want to give up shot opportunities to Rondo? Would you be very willing to sit down and talk to Rondo and have a real heart to heart in hopes of finding the best way to work together? Not likely, right?

I really don't think Danny is helping the situation by injecting a divisive, everyone look out for themselve atmosphere.

Danny should just stop talking, because it's not fair. I'm sure peole like his honesty, but why can't we get honesty about other trades, like the Perk deal, and especially about injuries. Ainge doesn't have the balls to trade Pierce, and that's why he should shut up about that, and he's just dumb enough to trade Rondo.

Great point about the Perkins trade. What happened to Ainge's famous candor?

But I would really hate to see either guy traded.
