"IN RONDO WE TRUST"

Celtics Blog Post New Entry

A perfect match, Rondo and Wilcox

This duo has found something, and the best thing to do is maxamize the chemistry. They both run the fastbreak like brothers playing on a summer day, chasing down an ice cream truck. They have finally been able to play with each other this season for a few games. Wilcox was out for the early part of the season, and Rondo soon followed. They have finally played some time on the court, and it's been a major bright spot this season. Wilcox has never seen the playoffs, and this season it looks like he'll taste it for the first time.

"I love playing with Chris," Rondo said after Wednesday's loss. "He's probably one of the fastest bigs in the league and I tell him to get out there and run with me, and he does a great job every night. We're starting to get easy baskets in transition, and I think that's what we need offensively. Chris has been playing great for us."

"We haven't played much together at all, but these last two games, we picked up a lot of minutes together and we seem to have a little connection going.

I think the Celtics need to look long, and hard with this duo. Is it best to keep Wilcox on the bench? Like I posted about yesterday. Should the Celtics start him along side the big four? I feel like he should start for the Celtics. He's only 29, and he's got a lot more to offer than JO. Jermaine will fit nicely off the bench. I would like to see the Celtics ride this out, and see where it takes us.

Not only because Wilcox seems to flow perfectly alongside Rondo, but for the sake of JO's health. We can't keep having this guy going in and out of games like this. Off the bench, JO could prove to be very helpful for us as well as keeping his body from getting too bruised up out there.

I think that the team should make the most of this connection, but I think that there is a split happening in the team once again- the Big Three with their half court game vs the young lions with their transition game. I'm so sick of the squabbling, Ray and PP acting like spoiled kids today, who are gonna cross their arms and stamp their feet if they don't get the ball.

Though JO didn't seem to adapt well to coming off the bench tonight.

JO was coming back from an injury, maybe in time he will do fine off the bench.
