C's lose in overtime thriller 88-87 to the Fakers

I want to kick something, beat something, break a window. I don't know something, I felt like Ray was fouled on the last play in overtime. I thought he was hacked from behind by Bynum. Maybe it's my denial speaking, or hate of the Lakers clouding my judgement. Even if it was a no call. The Celtics let this one get away. This lose stings more than anay lose so far of the season. It will take awhile to get over, and a win in LA in March is the only solution. The Celtics have lost the last four meetings to LA in Boston. In 2009 the Lakers beat the C's in another overtime thriller 110-109. I won't lie I broke a remote, and than I got up, and grabbed a picture frame, and whacked it across the wall. Losing to the Lakers brings out the worst in me, and I'm not a violent man.

This was a defensive game from the start. Both the Celtics, and Lakers shot in the mid 30's for the game. Bynum didn't have the best shooting night, but his timely tip-ins killed the Celtics. Bynum finished with 16 points, and 17 boards. Bynum had the go-ahead tip-in to give the Lakers a 88-87 lead. Gasol was the player of the game. He scored 25 points, and he had 14 boards. Kobe had some, I hate you Kobe moments for me. He finished with 27 points.

Rondo had some good moments, but I don't know if it was Kobe playing off him, or that the Celtics forced the ball to Pierce. I think Rondo had a golden oppourtunity tonight, but it got away. Rondo finished with 14 points, and 7 assists. Rondo had a troubling overtime period, but Pierce had a mini 5-0 run to give the Celtics the lead 87-86. KG had a great defensive game despite Gasol getting off, but KG spent more time on Bynum. KG wanted this game. He was on the floor when he had to be, and he was giving his all. The only problem for KG was his jumper not hitting the mark. KG was 6/23 for the game, and he finished with 12 points, and 12 rebounds. The Celtics lost the glass war 55-45. The Celtics will have another game tomorrow in Toronto, and the Celtics will need a win to keep the good lay going. It won't be easy going to sleep tonight. C's let this one go.

I blame this one on Rondo. I'm ashamed of being a Rondo fan tonight. He actually played an excellent game much of the night, but to wimp out the way he did when faced with the Rondo Sag was just ... I have no words for it. He needs to grow up or something. It made me ashamed.

It's one thing when KG can't hit the side of the barn, but at least he's trying. To watch Rondo not even trying is just painful. Oh Gee, my team is facing the Rondo Sag and our offense is stagnating and there is nothing whatsoever I can do. Really? Is that your answer, Rondo?

The defense was off the charts. A classic game, but I wish it was a Celtics win

I don't think it should have been so close down the stretch. We fans have said this so many times. There's no excuse for a team with so many scoring threats to be unable to score for such lengths of time.
