I really cannot look past the next game. Whichever game it may be, however good or bad the other team is. It’s one game at a time. These Celtics played themselves into a hole early this season. It took this team a little longer to gel and now is the time to make up for it.
The Celtics have been winning in all sorts of ways and I hope for this winning to continue. They have been blowing out teams, only to see them crawl their way back into the game. One time we lost(that should not and will not happen again), the other they were able to stave off defeat(proof). We did blow out a NBDL team named the Raptors. In all the good play and in all the bad, I did see one thing.
These Celtics are not dead and there not going quietly into that good night. They do have hearts of champions and they will prevail in more games than not in the future. They will get better as more injuries subside and the rotations become more clear.
I would really like it if these Celtics could find more consistency in their offense and when Rajon returns that may be the case. Get up on the Raptors and Bobcats of the world big so that the younger players like Avery, the Purdue Boys and the Steamer can get some extended PT. I have a feeling that if those can get more PT that just makes the Celtics that much deeper and dangerous for the playoffs.
It’s hard to not get excited about the way that JaJuan played on Wednesday. He played hard, he ran hard(beating his guy up the floor most trips). His shots were falling and he was rebounding underneath witha great put back. With KG as the mentor he is the definition of HUGE UPSIDE.
I am glad that Sasha is playing better. He seems to have great skills and he also seems to get in his head a lot. I want Sasha to play without fear or concern. Just play your hardest Sasha and know that is enough. You don’t have to be Ray Allen. You just have to be you, Sasha. Get a big bowl of Djerdan and enjoy the most European city in America.
I understand why people thought that the Celtics were finished. I knew deep down they had gas in the tank. With a little maturing of the younger players and the health of the big 4 we could do a lot of damage. Could we beat Chicago or Miami? I think we could. Would it be hard? You bet your bottom dollar. Would it be easy? No chance in hell.
One game at a time we’ll see it. It will become more clear and the future will reveal itself when it finds that were ready for it. Back in Boston versus the Knickerbockers. Amar’e and Melo will get front row seats and see why I am so excited about the rest of this season. Especially if Rajon is in there.
Onwards and upwards my friends. Have a great weekend and I will be watching the Memphis game then, but tonight is tonight and the next game. That is enough for me.
