This was a familiar theme all season. The Celtics fall down by double digits early (27) in this game. The Celtics went on a run in the third chipping into the Magic lead. The Celtics down 15 lost control of their run after the Magic looked primed to take the Celtics out of the game for good. In the first half Pierce looked awful! I was a little worried that Pierce was back to his out of shape self. Pierce played 44 minutes which is a lot these days, Pierce scored 24 points, and he dished out 10 dimes. Rondo is out with a wrist injury, and last game Bradley set the tone for the Celtics on the defensive end, and tonight it was the rookie Moore capping off a Celtics comeback in the third, and going into the 4th. Moore had 16 points, and he knocked down 4 three's without missing a single one of those three's, KG had another gem on the defensive end. KG blocked 4 shots, and he was a stud guarding Howard tonight.
The Celtics lost the rebounding game 46-37, but in the second half it was all Celtics on the glass. Bass hit two clutch jumpers late in the 4th. This was a great win, and despite the five game losing streak early this season. This team is truly deep, and truly talented. The Celtics have done all of this without Rondo, and that's a great sign. I wish they have won these games with Rondo, but maybe Rondo is sitting over on the side line wanting to come back. Wanting to take this team over, even if it's not given to him. This is a great win, and tomorrow another test. The Celtics rank second in the league only allowing 88 points a game, and the Celtics still have a defensive connection that many teams don't have . I'm starting to believe this team is for real, and this team just came in out of shape. KG's looking like the Garnett of last season, and the same for Pierce. This team has pride, and toughness, and a three-game winning streak.

The Celtics have become the defensive guru's again. They hound you, and they play every passing lan.
