Over at ESPN Boston yesterday they put together a roundtable. The question, Fact or Fiction: The Celtics will make the playoffs?
Kyle Weidie, Truth About It: Fiction. Danny Ainge should appreciate the one championship that fell into his lap and start calling a green clover a spade. Boston is going nowhere. Start the rebuild now.
Why start to rebuild when Garnett, and Allen are both free agents this summer, and the Celtics will have enough cap space to sign two max players if they want to in 2012. Why start rebuilding in the middle of the season, in a lockout season no less. If you want to measure the Celtics on the first 15 games of the season then you might miss the big picture. Anything seems possible this year. The Celtics remain one of the best defensive teams in the NBA, and that's why you can't count this team out. The Celtics have offensive fire power, and if they find out the balance of using Rondo, and Pierce together this team could easily run through the East.
This guy doesn't even follow the Celtics. You tell me about this team if you watch the games. Not if you just look at the record, and assume this team is bad. He follows the Wizards, and I think his head is stuck into their rebuilding problems.

That guy is obviously a moron. Every other person stated the the Celtics are indeed NOT out of the playoff picture. They are too experienced and have too much pride to allow that happen. Plus it's the not so beast east we are going against.... we are not going to allow the Cavs to get in if we can't. lol
