Dust off the VCR, KG gives a vintage touch

I feel like Chevey Chase, and I just fell off my house, and hit my head on the pavement. After being in the hospital for four years. I come home not knowing what has happened since the Celtics have won the NBA championship in 2008. I turn on the Celtics game tonight not knowing who's on the team, and I see the big three, and Rondo still play in Boston. Ray, and Rondo are sitting tonight because of minor injuries. Pierce, and KG,and some rookies along the way destroy the Magic in my first game back from the dead.
KG was controlling the defense, and barking like a dog wanting to eat it's dinner. I wouldn't have known KG went through major knee surgery in 2009, and I wouldn't have known KG struggled the year after until the playoffs. All I know is the Garnett I saw last night against the Magic. It looked like a carbine copy of 2008.
Back to the real world. To see Garnett play like a beast locked in a cage for 50 years, and all it wants to do is eat your soul, is nothing but a bright shinning light of hope for Celtics nation. Kevin didn't need to score 30 points. Kevin was the leader of the Celtics tonight, and the Celtics team held the Orlando Magic to a franchise low 56 points in a single game. The most impressive part of KG's game last night was the fact the game was a second game of a back-to-back. Garnett got the entire team playing defense, and it showed true grit, and true Celtics pride. Garnett has gotten better each game. His legs are coming back. But make no mistake. Don't think that will see this KG every night like its 2008. But it's always nice to get another glimpse of what was. KG can still be a factor.

The Big Three are not done for. They still have a lot left. But we need to feature our young rising star. We need Rondo strong and consistent on both offense and defense. We saw what happened last night in that the Big Three fed off Bradley's energy. Pierce said it himself. Why don't they see that they need to do with with Rondo? Let the young man soar and rise with him. When old young synergy works, it can be so magnificent.
