The Good, the Bad,and the Ugly: Game 14 of the Season against the SUNS

The Good

:) Should anyone ever question Rondo again? The Celtics scored a season low 71 points tonight. Rondo should be given total control when he gets back. None of this Paul Pierce isolation crap anymore. The turnovers go through the cieling when Paul play's isolation basketball. Paul isn't 30 anymore, and this isn't last season. It really didn't work last season either after a certain point. Doc said it was his fault tonight for the poor offense. I agree he's the blame for the Celtics offensive problems. His ability to change the offense has killed the Celtics all season. I love Doc as coach, but learining to change is a must when your team has changed physically.

:D Welcome Bradley. If he could do that every game off the bench. He was a solid scorer shooting 5/9 from the field. His defense was amazing! Bradley played 33 minutes, but the Celtics needed him for 48 tonight.

;) The Defense will save the Celtics in the end. It's still a major force with this team. They did only hold the Suns to 45% shooting. Which isn't great, but not awful. The Celtics just need to  find their offense.

The Bad

 The offense need I say more? Without Rondo this team doesn't even make the playoffs.

:/ The rebounding was awful losing the boards by 12 for the game. The Suns are one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA also.

:/ The Celtics seem to forget about Ray Allen. This happens a few times a year. Ray will go a few games without shooting the ball over 10 times a game. The Celtics need Ray shooting over 12 a game.

The Ugly

 I won't even pick anything from tonights game. I want to callout the fans of this team. I'm not hear to be popular, I want to attract true fans. I want to callout the fans who make dumb remarks all over the Celtics sites. Blowing this team up does nothing. I found this comment from a fan, and I don't understand it.

"Forget trading Pierce...for now...how about Ray Allen for Danny Granger. Pacers get cap space to go after Gordon this summer. Boston gets huge offensive boost

3 other Ray Allen trade scenarios: http://nyfwc.com/?p=3387 ;

(You have to like Allen for Odom as well)"

Really? Why waste your time thinking of trades that won't happen( Granger for Allen), and  the other  deal  won't even make the Celtics better, and it doesn't help for the future. Meaning why trade Allen for Odom?  Insane! Their are a lot of smart Celtic fans out there, but I question Celtic fans like this.

Odom? Wow that's the deal of the decade! lol. That's just sad. Rondo should be free to do what he wants with the offense.

I love your point that Doc is right about how the offense is crap, but not because of this game. It's because of his unwillingness to begin to reshape the offense, an unwillingness that we can now see, looking back, didn't just start this season. This team has needed to begin to re-orient its offense towards its rising young star for a while now.

I loved Bradley. I saw exactly one commentator who pointed out what should be obvious: the kid has first class defensive chops. He's no ordinary young player, who shows a bit of a gleam and everyone gets crazy over it. He is something special on the defensive end. He dominated the game as a defender, one can really say. When he was out, the Cs lost control of the game. I think he should be Rondo's primary backup. Without a doubt. Defense with a capital D.

I like your fan callout. I think the fans have been a huge disappointment. They don't understand loyalty, and they don't even begin to understand the concept of building a team, nor are they able to appreciate the considerable talent we still have.

And then there's the fact that, as hellish as this season has been, this team has NOT given up on the defensive end. Our defense is still our foundation stone. As long as you have defense, you do not need to panic.

Yeah solid callout. I can't believe fans anymore. They don't understand sports. Its all about video game trades. Fantasy games. Odom for Bass first of all is a epic fail.

I see that too. Fantasy sports have really effected the way people see sports. Or don't see them. A lot of folks seem to know all the players, and seem to have an almost encyclopedic grasp of statistics, but don't seem to see the game itself.
