Report: The Celtics open the season against the Raptors (Yawn)

In an era of facing off against Miami twice, Cleveland twice,or the Knicks. Now the NBA has yanked the plug on the Celtics prime time run. The NBA has cancelled their show, until they get ready ready for prime time stars. I'm happy about the bump, because I hate watching the games on ESPN, and sometimes TNT. Stay tuned for the rest of the schedule later tonight.

Via the Globe:

Two NBA sources told the Globe that the Celtics will open their 2013-14 season against the Toronto Raptors. The official NBA schedule is set to be released tonight at 6 p.m.

Less primetime games are better for me I enjoy tommy's commentary anyway. This will hopefully fuel the players also to let them know they are underdogs this upcoming season. Also if rondo is there I expect a win.

This is good for them and for Rondo in particular. Rondo will have a chance to work out his consistent game-to-game way of playing, without the distraction of what some call 'National TV Rondo' occasions.

Most of those games were big games, and he'll prove to everyone this season that it's him not the stage.

I hear you Cslife, and I agree, but I also have a feeling that the Big Game syndrome has been a bit of a distraction for him during his developement as a young player - remember, most young players don't tend to be on such high profile teams, I think.
