I wasn't able to follow the game tonight, but the Cs posted a second impressive win without Rondo. Scoring was spread evenly across the team, but the key was defense. Pierce and Garnett led the way, yet Pierce only played 31 minutes and Garnett played 28. Pierce had 16 points and ten rebounds. Garnett had nine points and five assists. The Cs had one less rebound than the Kings. Terry, Green and Bass all contributed 12 points each off the bench. A 37 point second quarter put the Cs in control of the game, and this time, they didn't let up.
It was a great win for the Cs. We seem to finally be seeing the team that we thought we'd be seeing; tough as nails on defense, especially on the perimeter, and sharing the ball on offense. Sully, however, only played a few minutes, having to leave the game with back spasms. That is a big worry.
Great start to the post-Rondo era.
