"IN RONDO WE TRUST"

Could Green be the key for Celtics in Rondo's absence?

Green will see more time without question with Rondo out. It was a big reason for the win Sunday against the Heat. Green was solid when called upon on offense, but even better on defense. He made Lebron work for his 31 points off of 21 shots. If Green can now be the player he should be with more responsibility since Rondo is out. Then maybe the Celtics still have a weird outside shot at something.

“People outside this locker room don’t know me,” Green said. “What they see on the court is me not being a Kevin Garnett. But I play this game 110 percent, all effort, all heart.”

After making the last remark Green paused, smiled and touched his chest, which was cracked open for heart surgery just over a year ago.

“I give it my all, but the only people who know me are in this locker room, and they know my personality,” he said. “I’m emotional. I hate losing. I’m a competitive person. I just don’t show it on the exterior. I’m going to go out there and play my hardest. If you don’t know me you won’t think that’s the case with my game, but it is.”

Yes the one advantage the Celtics had over the Heat was Rondo. Now what if it's Bradley guarding Wade, and Green on James? You can't hold both players scoreless, but slowing them down could be very possible. Green may shock us all now that Rondo is out. Green could be the difference maker this season.

This team is going to rise up. They really are. They played terrible with Rondo as their leader. They will play better. They still have loads of talent.

Call me stupid, but I believe in this team. They play oddly better without Rondo, but they with Rondo they're a better team, weird how that works.

It's weird how they play like they've been let out of school when Rondo is gone. If Rondo wants to be a leader, he's got to think about this.
