The Celtics won't win an NBA championship because they still haven't learned there lesson from game seven in 2010 against the Lakers. The Celtics can't keep leads, and it was the same thing against Miami in 2011, and in 2012. Put aside the injuries. The Celtics had big leads, and they let them go. I search for ways to defend this team, and I dig down deep to feed you, and myself positive reinforcements.
I'm glad my eyes are finally open. However... I must move on. I can't say the rest for any of you. Since I do not desire to become irritated. I have let go of any expectations. I have known. I want to focus on Rondo. I want to see what he can do as a player. Because the era of Pierce, and maybe KG has gone, and past. I wrote about being an optimistic, and a pessimistic. I'm a glass is full kind of guy. But sometimes you need to look around you. When it comes to other teams overall in the NBA. They're that much better than the Celtics.
My pessimistic walls I put up to keep myself safe. Sometimes being so involved, and being a fan puts you out there to get crushed. It is indeed a bleak winter. The Celtics hit rock bottom in Atlanta. Even amid this season-long six-game losing streak. This seems like the worst time in the KG era. It's truly bleak times. The Celtics let go of a 27 point lead. They lost there fire, and spark. How does this happen so often. Paul Pierce is 5 for his past 33 from three-point land, and I can't recall Pierce being so cold.
I may seem pessimistic, though I am not without hope. But in this world of many pitfalls I do struggle to grasp it all. Rondo gives me a lot to be thankful for despite how many may think about him. He had another empty triple-double in a big time two overtime loss. I leave you all with this. What do you want. I know it's a banner. It's what I want. But for the first time in five years. This team, and fan base must realize that winning a championship is out of the question, and so I ask. What's important to you without being a contender?
