Jeff Green scores big in Celtics win

It's been a year since Green went under the knife. For me it's something I personally fear. I can't imagine going through a surgery that life threatening.Wednesday night could have been like every other night. But it seemed as if Green was reaching for the sky. Grabbing for dreams, and chasing down fears.
Trying to understand Green has been difficult for many fans, and critics. Overcoming obstacles, and achieving moments in times of adversity. For pride can overcome adversity, and Green has shown us that returning to the game hasn't been easy. But he's been successful despite having times of inconsistent play.
Green in the past two games has shown us what we expect out of him, and I think myself, and others are not fair on Green. We want him to be the savior, or a star, and maybe he's not that player in this system. With so much talent on the Celtics. Every single night will have a new star take over the spotlight. Some nights it could be Rondo, the next KG, and then Pierce. Green won't have big nights every single time out, and it's unfair of us to rip Green.
In the past four games it's been a typical Jeff Green stretch. In the Atlanta, and Indiana wins Jeff Green averaged 2.5 points in 17 minutes of action. In the past two games Jeff has played around 27 minutes while averaging 15 points. That's what we want, but it's hard to ask for that when you have so much fire power on the Celtics. What we need from Green is lock down defense. Just like the way he played Melo Monday. Green played some of the best defense, and I've never seen him play that well.
Sometimes it's the trial that makes us grow as humans. The hard times when you really know you've changed. Green just like the Celtics may have hit rock bottom, and now it's time to just play. Jeff lost playing time because he was passive against the Pacers, and Hawks, but in New York he played with aggression, and it worked, because that's how good he is.
