Intimidation factor gone?

The intimidation factor for me has been gone way before this season. But it's gotten worse each season. At this point the Celtics can't scare a six year old on the playground.

Boston Herald

The first thing that goes is the intimidation factor.

In addition to three losses by no fewer than 18 points — and by an average of 23 — it was perhaps the last vestiges of this quality that left the Celtics on their three-game tour of the Pacific Division that ended with a thoroughly nauseating 118-96 collapse Sunday night against the Kings in Sacramento.

The Celts were humbled by the Los Angeles Clippers and outworked by the Golden State Warriors, who were playing on the second night of a back-to-back.

The first thing that goes is the intimidation factor.

Teams suddenly realize you’re not all that unbeatable after all, and just as quickly they begin to attack the images that were once posters on their wall. The notion takes a little longer to sink in within the team in question because, after years of being good, you still get to drift a while longer on the vapor of people telling you you’re good.

And it’s easier to believe than to deny the hug and look yourself in the mirror.

Nobody fears the mighty Celtics. Not until playoff time? I think the Celtics don't need to worry about intimidation. I just want some honest to god good basketball. Work on the basics, and play some damn defense again.

Honestly, I'm less worried about the defense at this point than I am about the offense. Amazing as that may sound
