State of the Celtics: Scal retires, and Barnes a Celtic?

Posted by shawn cassidy on September 6, 2012 at 6:45 PM

It looks like Scal is done with the game that has been so good to him.

Adrian Wojnarowski  @WojYahooNBA Brian Scalabrine has turned down coaching job with Bulls and will call games for Comcast Sports New England this season, he tells Y! Sports.

I'm happy to see him on TV. He's got a good personality. I also believe he's a good replacement for Tommy. Donny Marshall I just don't like him on TV. He doesn't have the same kind of presence. Scal tells it like it is as well. You can't hate that. Can't wait to see him on Comcast this season.

Matt Barnes headed to Boston?

CelticsLife, and Rant sports broke the news of a rumor that has Matt Barnes headed to Boston. Honestly MP would be my choice. But what if he's holding out, and what if Barnes is willing to take the 1.9 that's being offered? Barnes I liked when he was on Golden State, but I've disliked him ever since. I say pass up on him honestly.

I love the fact that Scal will be around the Celtics in some form.

I would still love MP joining the team but I guess he is unlikely now.. I just wonder if Barnes would love to be part of Boston since he came from Lakers..
