Recap: Celtics lose game 7 101-88

Posted by shawn cassidy on June 9, 2012 at 10:55 PM

This remarkable season has come to a close. I don't want to dive too much into the game. Because it was the last game of the season. The Celtics had this game, they really did. But just like every other game that seems to good to be true. The Celtics let this one get away. The Celtics just became timid. I know for a fact that we didn't get the Celtics best effort tonight. The second half couldn't leak over into the second half, and the Celtics just played into the hands of the Heat. Rondo was wonderful with another triple-dobule. This game was once a classic, but it became a laugher with about 4 minutes to go.

I want to thank Paul, GeeZee. And others that comment. Franklin, Jlili89, Celticslifer, celticsz ,Cisco,Jeff Melhorn, MikeS , Greg, celtsfan, Birdman33. If I forgot any, I am sorry. It's been a great season. This was my first full season as a site. All of you mean a lot. I guess it's back to Celtics Legends Series, and games of the night. I will talk to you guys later.

thanks for everything, Shawn, and everyone else

had we played this game two days ago, we'd be getting ready for OKC now

i agree that we became tentative late, which lost us the game

Heat played great

off season should be absolutely fascinating.

Thanks Shaw, and Paul for some great work this season. It's heartbreaking, but the Celtics could have won. The refs were not even a factor.

thanks celticslifer. I think the refs were a huge factor, but that was expected. A last push would have won this game, but we didn't seem to have the gas

Did they run out of gas? I love this team, and this era is over. Thanks for the season Shawn, and Paul.

Great times, I agree with Paul, this series should have ended in game six.

Doc could barely keep from crying. Garnett the same.

What a shame - the way it went reminded me of Lakers Six in 2010. It seemed like we kindof laid down in game six, and then lost seven, putting out an effort that would have won six for us.

C's life, I think that chant was always a goodbye, which is why it was so touching. I think everyone knew that winning game 7, in Miami, with the NBA pulling out all the stops for a Miami win, was near impossible.
