Game seven thoughts

Rondo had that same look, and his voice sounded the same as Russ, when he said "we've done it before".
Alone I walked after work tonight. In the midst of loneliness, as the darkness rolled in, and the fog from the ocean cooled the summer day. I realized that nothing is predictable.
My body seemed like it was pushed by the wind. That push was needed in game six. But nothing happened. Just nothing. Rondo was great, and it was another great performance by Rondo that resulted in a loss. In the land of the unknown, which is a daunting game seven in Miami. I listen to my heart, where does my heart beat now? Can the impossible happen, can the Celtics win game seven on the road? Something that hasn't happened often. The Celtics have their stories. I'm confident that the Celtics will come out ready. What if this is it for Kevin? Kevin usually bounces back after a bad game. This series has been about him for the Celtics. He's been the biggest mismatch, and the biggest emotional tool.
Paul, and Ray have been hot, and cold all series long, and really the entire postseason. The Celtics will need one of them to show up. Rondo as usual will be the one guy that sets everyone up, and everything up.
“We missed some easy shots. We turned the ball over a couple of times. Every time we tried to get over the hump, we just didn’t,” Rondo said. “We didn’t execute, missed easy bunnies and they went down and scored. Instead of it going down to eight, it went back up to 15. Give them credit. . . .
I feel bad for Rondo. Doc, didn't allow him to be himself in game 6. Doc let Rondo be Rondo in the first half when Rondo scored 19 points. But the game changed in the second half. The ball was stuck, and the movement reminded me of the Celtics from 2003 or something. The Celtics did miss some shots that they normally make. But you can't excuse their poor defense.
As our hearts break we want the Celtics to mend each one our hearts. As the walls fall you pull people aside, and save them one by one. As the sky falls you take us into shelter. As the tears flow you have a ear to listen.
As the days pass you get us ready for next year, and somehow you always know what to say before its needed to be said, and somehow you know what to do before it needs to be done. Somehow you know how and when before its needed to be known ,and somehow you break the odd. The Celtics are up against the wall they love to be up against. It's their character, they love to fight. They have never taken the easy way. They've always had the talent to take the easy way out. But they never see it that way.
There are days when it doesn't matter to me at all. You wake up, and things just don't seem right . My mind is cold, and theirs nothing like it to make you feel so old. When the bricks start to fall. I'll be caught in life's squall. When I'm up against this wall. I react. The Celtics seem to always react. Even if they lose. In the 2010 Finals the Celtics reacted, and lost in the final minutes in game seven. I hope the Celtics can change the outcome this time in game seven.

Paul Pierce's ego took over in the second half. It was tragic, greekly tragic. We need Rondo to be Rondo, as you say, Shawn. And we need Pierce to support Rondo. That's what he did in game five. There's no shame in playing wingman to the best player in the game, Paul. You were once the best player in the game, arguably. You know more than anyone how much even the best player needs a true wingman. You know this better than anyone. Support Rondo and maybe win a championship.
We still have the best player. We still have the best supporting cast. We are facing a super-amped Heat team AND the refs, but we can still win. We just have to be the best we can be. 48 minutes.

It was like Rondo! Man, winning tonight after game 6 blowout would be one of the great moments, from the chant to a win. Please pull it out!
It would be an alltime great moment.
